Oh, my god. I am going to start giving workshops on how to take care of people. Seriously, I am a ridiculously talented and well-rounded person*, but if I have a sterling talent – one that I feel I was born with outside knowledge of, it is taking care of people.
Actually, calling it a talent feels wrong. Because sometimes I just can’t take care of specific people in specific situations, I’m too burnt out, or I don’t click with them. But taking care of people is something that I know a lot about, and I have an extensive philosophy about it and I think I understand it more thoroughly than anyone I’ve ever met. If I am an expert on anything, it is this.
Trouble is, there probably are not a lot of people who think, “I need to learn how to take care of people.” So, this is clearly not going to be my “find your calling and you will turn into a rock-star” business.
Ah-kay, I’m going to bed now. I’m going to give this more thought.
* this is where tiresome people chime in ‘humble too’ and I smile and nod like, ‘yeah, witty. I bet you think cleverness is one of your talents.’
