This is this week’s thrifting score.
Thrifting is a dangerous habit for someone with a project problem.
I’m slowing down on the acquisition of pretty linens. Though I do live in fear that one day we’ll finally build the linen cabinet of my dreams and I won’t have enough vintage sheets and pillowcases to do it justice.
I also grabbed some cobalt glass plates and a white lace… something. I don’t know, it’s in pretty rough shape so I will probably just drape it in my window.
We also went to the Habitat Re-Store and picked up two wood windows for a project. I always look at the vintage windows when I’m there so I’ve seen these ones there for quite a while. This project kind of just came to me last weekend and I remembered these windows and went back specifically for them. I’m hoping I’ll get to it quickly enough that I can just show you pictures in a week or so. That’s why I’m being vague.
We had a great positive talk this morning about getting our finances in order, but then we went to Home Depot. We were just there for light bulbs. But we came home with a doorbell (new weekend project!) And paint for my window project too.
And now Ian’s in the kitchen installing the little built in shelf that we picked up at Habitat for $5 a year ago. Ah, projects.
